FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does my battery take to charge?

The standard 5000mAh battery typically take approximately 5 hours to charge with the supplied AC adaptor (1Amp).

You can charge the battery faster by using our Flow 2.4Amp AC Charger.  Charge time will be approximately 1.4 times faster.

Q: How long does my battery last in my vest or jacket?

    * All times are "up to"

     Battery Capacity Low Medium High
    5000mAh 4 hours 2 hours 1 hour
    10000mAh 8 hours 4 hours 2 hours
    15000mAh 12 hours 6 hours 3 hours

Q: Can I charge from my car or motorcycle
Yes. If you have a 12V cigarette lighter outlet you can use our PowerMini 4.8Amp USB car charger.
If your vehicle has a USB outlet with 5v power then chances are the battery will charge from that outlet.

Q: What type of cable charges the battery

The battery uses a standard Micro-USB cable. If you need a longer cable or have lost yours, you can use any Micro-USB cable to charge the battery.

Q: I have a Premium vest. Why are there are 2 outlets on my battery.
No reason at all. It doesn't matter which outlet you use.  There is no use for the second outlet with the vest.

Q: I have a The Classic Vest (discontinued). Why don't the lights turn on the battery when it is on charge
When you initially charge the battery there may be no residual charge in it.  You need to keep the battery on charge for 12 hours and it may be close to that time before the battery lights turn on.

The next time you charge it, it will charge up straight away!  If you leave the battery flat for an extended period you may need to give it a deep 12 hour charge again.

Q: I have The Classic Vest  (discontinued). Can I use a standard lithium battery powerbank

No - the battery provided has 4 heat settings to regulate the heat.  There is no way to regulate the heat with another lithium battery pack. Plus there is no way to guarantee longevity or safety with the vest's heating system
